Where Twitter meets Nike+... for anti-smoking


Lucy mentioned this on her blog and I think it's genius.
Wondering whether there is any role for “microblogging” (the wanky generic name for twitter)? … I think someone just found one.

It provides an easy way of reporting when you succumb to a cigarette and, here’s the killer, it let’s you compare your will-power to others using the service (like Nike+).

There might be many reasons why it might not work (answers on a postcard) but I think it might work well for those who really want to give up but need more human support/ encouragement/ competition to keep on the straight and narrow. Why didn't Niquitin come up wit this as an awesome example of branded utility
